Newspaper is going to reach about half the people looking for information about the real estate market. While only 5% of the people who buy a home will find it in the newspaper, 24% find it on the internet. So if I were advising you on where to invest your marketing dollars I'd say for every dollar you invest in print spend five online. Where online? That's another question...

Who is this Bob Onya and why is he so abusive to people who he has no beef with? I beieve that if he can't discuss issues without calling people stupid or other such names that he should find another web site to blog on. How about an anger management site. Sorry, I don't want to bring myself down.

To answer your question (and you are a Realtor...I think you should know the answer), the 2007 CAR buyer survey reports that 12% of home buyers read a newspaper or magaine to look for porperties.

It depends on who you are trying to reach. There are still many people who do not use the internet . My husband being a perfect example. If you relied on him or people with his mindset to find a home that you put on the internet you would go out of business ( I really love him but he is so computer illiterate, at his own admission). You will definitely reach the younger home buyers. That is the main source of their information today. I believe that you have to balance the two so that you reach all buyers and sellers.
