Hello Kathy,

It sounds like you guys are ready for some southern comfort. Fayetteville is truly a great place to live and get away as well. My aunt from New York moved here about eight years ago and really likes the change in pace. Are you looking to be apart of the country setting or the more inner city arena? With the current market, we have a few good deals in your price range of 160k. Good luck and feel free to ask me questions, I live in Fayetteville and would not take another place for it.

We have been here 12 years and have to relocate to Tennessee this month. You might want to rent a home and get the feel of the area and then buy. Ours is an older home that we are not wanting to sell yet but would rent as we are renting in Tennessee and then buying later. Fayetteville is great and there are homes in the mid $100's but you have to be very careful of where it is in relation to the school zones... Would be glad to share with you what we know and depending on your preferences. I am not a realtor but a fellow person that relocated here 12 years ago and now doing it again to Tennessee. I have our house listed for rent here. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/apa/764275879.html you link in through and email me any questions about the area and what is in the area. Robert

You will love the area and their are a lot of choices! Good Luck in your search! It is such a great area! of Atlanta. I have lived all over Atlanta for the past 27 years, and I gotta tell you . . . Fayette County is incredibly special. Good Luck on the relocation -- and there are a lot of good agents here if you need one!
Warm Regards, Karen

Kathy,
There are plenty of opportunites for you and lots of home in the area in your price range. This is a buyers market, so right now your money may go further than you think. Find an agent you trust and have them do a search for you. To find an accredited buyer's agent, go to http://www.rebac.net and enter the state and city you wish to find a home in. These are REALTORS specialized and accredited in representing BUYERS accross the country and any of them should be able to really help you find what you need.

Hi Kathy,
Yes you can find homes in the 160's but they will be older. Some sellers are updating their homes in order to sell them and I think you will be able to find something. Now is the time to buy given the way the market is. My family moved to Fayette County 17 years ago, other family members have moved down here. Fayette County is a wonderful place to live. Please take a look at my website for area information.

Kathy,

I recenlty moved from New York to Fayette County. You will be shocked by what you money can buy you down here. The house we bought down here would easily have sold for $600,000 in Westchester County and we paid $275,000. There are a lot of homes for sale in Fayetteville that would probably suit your needs. Give me a call and I would be happy to speak to you about this area. 678-588-6791.

There are not many new homes available in the 160k range. However, there are many homes that have had updates and some homes that are only a couple of years old. I would be more than happy to e-mail you some if you would like. Please feel free to call or e-mail me anytime. I am here to help.
