No, really, this may be the real answer. OK, here goes. This property had two listing agreements done. One for sale and the other for rental of the property. As it goes pending for one of the listings, you would assume that the other would be withdrawn. In this case, it did not happen that way.

I calling the listing agent, and he says the property is pending a sale.

Hope that clears it up and I should have caught the snafu the first time.

I saw that it had been cross listed as a sale and a rental. What was the Property marketing period (CDOM) on the sale listing? So it's the rental that is "pending" and not the sale?

Actually, because it was on the market so long, it was withdrawn and relisted as a rental, it went undercontract to be rented on 1/28 of this year for $1950/mo. Because the information about the length of the lease is not provided (and for higher end rentals could be month to month to serve large corporations that have high level staff in town for short durations) it is very much a possibilty that the seller would like to still entertain selling at the end of the term of the lease. (I recently had a similar situation). If you would like me to find out some more information, let me know. Enjoy your sunday!

Thanks Terrence. I saw it went off market, but as noted before, I am not a realtor and as such cannot tell the status (other than it not being active).
