We have a 2 bdrm home in Ruth Hardy we own as a rental as we live in Minnesota. What is the market like?

We were thnking of selling our rental in Ruth Hardy and looking for a less expensive fixer up in the same area as we are both retired and are looking for something to do. Any info would be helpful. Are there any less expensive fixer upers in the ruth hardy park area? Thanks ann

Have you tried using a real estate cyber-value website such ashttp:// http://www.Zillow.com ? These websites look at homes sold around an address and come up with a best-guess price. They aren't always accurate (+/- 15% is what I have seen) nor do they give you estimated market times.
If you want a more accurate opinion for your home in Ruth Hardy, just drop me a line with the address and your contact info. I can get a Realtor in that area from the world-wide relo real estate network to provide you with the local information.
Lastly, I'd recommend checking into a 1031 exchange to postpone any capital gains (assuming you haven't lived in the home two of the last five years). A Realtor, real estate attorney or title company can help walk you thru the 1031 exhange process.
