I'm actually quite familiar with that area. There are actually very nice homes depending on which way you enter that neighborhood. From Goldenrod there are some lower priced older homes, however if you take the entrance from University Blvd. (Bibb lane I beleive the rd is called) there are many very nice homes all along lake Irma, it is a very desireable area just evidenced that people are willing to pay quite a bit for homes in the community, and are still willing to put in more $ knocking them down and putting up new homes.
I wouldn't feel any regret buying in that area. Now buying directly from a builder, that is another story, you always want to bring in your own representation, especially since the builder pays for it out of their marketing budget.
