I look froward to hearing from you soon,
Danelle is correct. I double checked and I was right that it did sell for 147,500 in 1997 but I previously missed the 2001 sale for $279,900. But, as Danelle said, neither of those prices have ANYTHING whatsoever to do with what the current value should be today. The only thing that matters is how you feel about the price of this home relative to others on the market today. If you feel you can get a better value in another home, buy the other home. If this one is the best you've seen in this price range, it's probably priced close to the current market value.
I am a NJ broker, but not a member of TREND MLS. We have a few Trend members who participate on Trulia. If you want to find the info without engaging in a direct conversation, you can try emailing an agent who works in that area. Also, you can try Zillow. Hint: Closed data info is as accurate on Zillow as anywhere. There is always a possibilitiy of a clerical error at recording. Zillow simply picks up the data. However, I do not recommend Zillow for Zestimate pricing....other than just for fun.
