Does Ingress onto property expire if the property is sold.?

Asked by Karen Acker, 35180 Thu Oct 16, 2008

I recently purchased a home in lount Vounty AL - on the original deed ( to the person I bought the home from ) Ingress and egresds is granted to the cable television company , as well as use for a headend ( cable signal distribution station) . As the deed reads the property ownership was retained and use was granted.
When I purchased the home, the ingress clause was not on my deed, but it does say that it is subject to easments, restrictions and rights of record. I got the tax bill for that prtion of theproperty and have paid it, the county says that the property is mine. My question is , do i have irght to restrict ingress, can i ask them to purchase the property or remove their buliding and equipment - what are my options? THey did not pay taxes on the building they erected , and they do not maintain the property or the gravel driveway they use to cross over to the buliding. I have been advised to maintain the property ( cut the grass ) , but I am unsure as to how to proceed.
