Need a Realtor in New Jersey area within commuting distance to the city.

I have a contact from Malaysia that is interested in buying a condo for $150,000 in a decent area with an easy commute to the city.

I will not take a referral fee...just looking to help someone out.

If they are willing to have an hour and a half commute, there are a few more options westward. Wow just checked out the date - if they haven't had any luck by now let me know.

$150 K isnt a lot for most areas adjacent to rail line. Perhaps the least expensive in Plainsboro which is 15 minutes to Princeton Junction station on North East Corridor, parts of Lawrence Hamilton can be ok but again the price may place them in areas close to Trenton. If they are used to city living they will get the most and easy access to train in Trenton. Trenton to Penn NY is about an hour.

I cover Essex, Morris and Passaic Counties which are all within a reasonable, easy commute to the city. However, in that price range a one bedroom would be more common. Are they in need of more than one bedroom?

There are condo possibilities at that price point in Bloomfield and Belleville in Essex County as well as Clifton in Passaic County. The commute to the city is about 20 minutes by car or slightly longer by bus and train.

Morris county will have some options for them. We have worked with buyers from abroad berore, one that we met on Trulia and helped him get a condo as well.

I think even in Essex couty they may find someone that is small but a possiblility.

In that price range your friend might need to look in Central Jersey. The Mercer & Middlesex County might give them what they need. There are several ways into the city from these areas. By car via the New Jersey Turnpike, by rail through several different Amtrak or Transit trains as well as bus. Many people who work in the city move to these areas because they can get so much more for their money.
