Are you after a closed community [must be 55+, etc.] or a regular community where retirees make up a sizable percentage of the community? If you're looking for the former, remember that your buyer pool will be smaller when you (or your estate) want to sell. Corpus has few of the former, but Padre Island may be what you're looking for. Those 65+ get good-sized property tax exemptions in City of Corpus Christi, Corpus Christi ISD or Flour Bluff ISD. Compare 65+exemptions if you can qualify so you don't wind up in a place where you must pay higher property taxes unnecessarily.

Glenn,
I hope you continue to consider moving to our Sparkling City by The Sea. I am a REALTOR in the Corpus Christi area and am very familiar with the Senior Living Centers and retirement communities in our area. I just need to knwo if you want to be in a Condo on the beach or a spacious home in the country.
Feel free to drop me a line or give me a call and I look forward to helping you in your move to our city.

Hi Glenn,

My Uncle, Steve Free, is a realtor in Corpus Christi. He was raised there and has lived there most all of his life. We can not go anywhere in Corpus when we visit that you don't hear Hey, Steve! He knows Corpus like the back of his hand. I would suggest you contact him at 361.946.3045. He's such an easy going person and everyone appreciates his great customer service.

Best wishes!
