Cartus is a Relocation company and they usually work through an agent who is listing the property and insist on certain forms to be used. Relocation companies do take longer to process the paperwork, especially if they are the owners of the home. That your agent does not have insight to the process means they have had little experience dealing with relocation companies. The length of time this has taken is unusual and pressure should have been brought by your agent for a quicker response. See the link below for a brief overview of Cartus
Usually two agents come out to view your property and then they each send a very lengthy report back to Cartus. The Cartus specialist will then contact you and discuss your home and how to properly market it to get it sold. I'm sure your specialist will get back to you shortly and go over your options. Unfortunately during the holiday season people take off but they should be back this week and you should be hearing from them over the next couple of weeks. Best of luck!
Hope that helps.
Is this a foreclosure?
Did you provide a loan approval letter?
Did you give them a deposit?
If this is an initial offer, the wait of nearly a month with no word in not good. At this point you and your agent should be on the telephone expaditing your contract. It's important to know where it is right now and if everything necessary for consideration has been provided.
It is very common for materials and even contracts to become lost during this process....make sure your informationis accounted for and you have the NAME and NUMBER of a responsible contact person that can keep you appraised of your offer.
