Home Buying in Laguna Niguel>Question Details

Lenore, Home Buyer in Laguna Niguel, CA

Looking for a home in Laguna Niguel 900K - 1.4M. Must have tons of kids. What is the best neighborhood?

Asked by Lenore, Laguna Niguel, CA Mon Jan 14, 2008

Our neighborhood today is lacking the kids outside riding bikes, going to the park. We are looking for a neighborhood that has a lot of young families.

With your price range I would say Marina Hills is your best choice all around. Great area, good association amenities and close to everything.

We live in Beacon Hill and have, collectively for 12 years. Although it's not yet on the market, are selling our 4 bed/3 bath home on Copps Hill and the street is full of kids. If you'd like more information, email me at milt.johns@yahoo.com

In fact Laguna Niguel is a family community and that is why so many answers to this question. Pick and area you are comfortable with and you will have all the kids come to you. I moved to Laguna Niguel in 1982 with 6 kids and we always have been pleased with the neighborhoods we have lived in.

Depending on the age of children my choices would be Palisades & Westerlies off Golden Lantern, Marina Hills or Beacon Hill are all great neighborhoods with lots of small children. You can check out the mapping on my website for these locations and listings. I hope this helps. Good Luck.

I like Somerset Point and Palisades South of Crown Valley off of Golden Lantern. Ocean close, families and the best Laguna Niguel has to offer!

I grew up in Niguel Shores and absolutely loved & still love it! In fact, my family still lives there after 25 years. What is great about living there is that the kids can get themselves to the beach and to the community center which has an olympic swimming pool, tennis courts, volleyball court, and basketball court, without ever leaving the gated community. If you can find a home you like in there, I would definitely recommend purchasing it. The community is highly desirable and has really low HOA dues (only paid each quarter).

I hope this helps! If I can be of further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Happy House Hunting!

Hello Lenore,

You might be interested in the areas of Rancho Niguel, Rolling Hills, Marina Hills, Crest De Ville, Bear Brand Ridge, or Sea Call. All of those areas have young families as well as matching that price range. Parks are also plentiful in all of those neighborhoods.

If you would like to see some specific listings in those areas, or get a comparison of what each neighborhood offers, please call me or visit my website.
