Carol Andres…, Real Estate Pro in Pittsburgh, PA

I have friends and family in both New York and New Jersey and I am aware that these two states have a process

Asked by Carol Andres Baer, Realtor®, Pittsburgh, PA Sun Jan 13, 2008

called attorney review that happens at the beginning of a real estate transaction. Are there any other states that use this process at the beginning? Can anyone tell me why these two states (and others if there are) do things a little differently? I've also heard that the attorney review process handles the inspections and replies. Is this an advantage for the buyers and sellers, rather than having the real estate agents negotiate these issues? I'm just trying to understand the process a little better.
