Hello Kerja
Sorry to disappoint you but there is no such option online. As Peggy already said you do need to figure out the location and price range, and than get in touch with the local realtors who can help you further.
Best of luck

Your best bet is to find a real estate firm that is in the area which you are looking for and search their website. The MLS that services most of MA (MLSPIN) has an 'interesting' way of dealing with IN-LAW type properties, so don't be surprised if it is not a selection in search criteria on the websites you find. You may actually need to contact a local Realtor. He/she should know which properties in the town/area have such a thing.

A word of caution, always be sure to check with the building inspector of the city/town when you find a property (and Don't just rely on the Listing Info). Confirm with That Authority that the property does in fact 'qualify' as an In-Law apartment if it is important to you. You may be surprised at how many don't.

Your question is pretty "open" - where are you looking for a home? Western MA, Cape Cod, South Shore?
Most of us realtors have an MLS assistant program which will send you listings: new to market, price changes etc. BUT the catch is that you sign up with a realtor. If you just want to "look" and not make any commitments, go to http://www.realtor.com - there you can put in your town and price range, Bedrooms etc
It is improper for any realtor to attempt to solicit business on this forum - (according to our Community Guidelines) - we are ONLY here to give advice. Good luck with your search.

Unfortunately, the only way to do that search is to search by keywords like... inlaw, in-law, accessory... and so on. At this time the MLS does not offer such a criteria. You can search by keywords if you sign up for my MLS Property Finder at http://www.mlspropertyfinder.com/login.asp?agentid=300358. Just remember it is only as good a sthe search term you put in and you need to be creative. Some people will hyphenate inlaw some will not. In most cases, agent will identify if there is "in-law potential" in the remarks as it may be a big bonus to the house.

Hi There,
I live and work in the Merrimack Valley and North Shore area, and I think you would find it perfect. The area offers an easy commute, as it is surrounded by 3 major Boston commuter routes, and just about every town has a commuter rail station. It's a lovely area with quintessential and SAFE New England neighborhoods. It's a quick drive to the beaches, to Boston, and to skiing, and best of all it's AFFORDABLE!

I publish a Homes & Land Magazine for that area, we have a few thousand listings on our web site that you may want to check out. http://www.HomesAndLandMA.com. Or I would be happy to mail you a copy of the next issue, just let me know! Best of luck with your search.

There are many un-answered questions within your question. What part of Massachusetts are you interested in and in what price range? There are many homes that offer in-law or AuPair Suites. My website will allow you to set up a very specific criteria. Go to http://www.trinamacchi.com or call me and I will help you in any way that I can. If I don't work in the area that you are looking in, I can help you find a reputable realtor that will work in your best interest!

Kerja,
If you can provide some more parameters (areas of MA, price range, etc...), I'd be glad to set you up to automatically receive appropriate listings via e-mail. Unfortunately, most of the consumer property search sites do not let you search by keyword criteria. They just don't drill down that deep. The MLS interface that we Realtors use does allow this and this might be the easiest way to identify the properties you are interested in. Let me know if that would be helpful and I'd be happy to set it up for you.
All My Best, Mike.

What part of MA are you interested in? I am located on Cape Cod and there are quite a few listings down here that would fill your needs. Please contact me by e-mail at edward@capecodera.com.
