Home Buying in Naples>Question Details

Bea, Home Buyer in Connecticut

Interested in a 3/2 in Naples, Florida.

Asked by Bea, Connecticut Sun Feb 1, 2009

We are looking to invest in a second home in Naples. We would like a 3/2 in a secure community, either a stand alone home or a townhome. We would like to make this a permanent move in about 2 years, so a community that has a good school system would be important to us. If anyone could point us in the direction of communities online that we could look at before we make a trip down, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Bea,

I live in Sterling Oaks. Email me at angelakobe@comcast.net if I can answer any questions for you. Lots to know about the neighborhood that many agents might not know. If you are without children, this is a great neighborhood. Nice people and a ton of activities at the clubhouse and tennis club. However, if you have young children it is lacking....there are just so few kids that they probably won't have playmates. I'm in my late 30s with two toddlers and our home is for sale because we want to raise our girls with more young neighbors. The best way to explain it is, our doorbell only rang 5 times on Halloween last year because there are no youngsters!

We have a 3 bedroom/2 bath home with 1900 square feet. Totally upgraded with cherry cabinets, stainless steel, crown molding, custom draperies. Hoping to sell so we can have a great Halloween 2009! No pool but who needs one when the pool scene is so vibrant! Email me and I'll send some photos!

Hello Bea,

I see you already received a lot of information from my colleagues. I could ad one more development, I currently have a listing in(I am the owner-agent), Cypress Woods Golf and Country Club. It has golf equity included, tennis, gym , club house, large pool and spa, close to everything, great school district. Please visit http://www.3515GrandCypressCt.com for more information on this listing and make sure you check my website as well. If you like this neighborhood, there are several homes available, the largest one is a 4/2.
Also, in your price range, larger homes can be found about 12 miles north in Estero, a great community called Stoneybrook.
Please let me know if I can assist you in any way and stay warm up in Connecticut.
Best wishes,

Please go to http://www.ken-lowe.com to view all properties in the area. You first need to determin what ammenities you would like in your community and what you budget is. There are several options and current values are great with the price retractions we have seen and low interest rates.

Many communities in Naples provide club and spa and or golf and social ammenities to residents. They can be a good value for those who use the facilities but add unnesasary fees for those who do not. I would recommend you consult a local Realtor expert to learn about the communities and the area in general.

We have seen a consistant increase in pending sales volume for the last 6 months so I believe our market is starting to turn around. I believe now is a great opportunity for a value priced purchase. Please feel free to view properties on my site http://www.ken-lowe.com or call at 239-595-2212 for information on Naples and Marco Island properties.

Thank you for all the responses.

We are looking for a community that has a clubhouse, tennis or golf, a gym, pool and is within a reasonable distance to good shopping/restaurants. Our price range is between $300-$350K no mortgage required. While we initally thought of a 3/2 if we could find a larger home (4or5/3) for visiting family, it would make life easier in the long run!

Thanks again.

Bea,

Without many details, I will give you a few community names that are in good school districts and are gated.

Pelican Marsh, Olde Cypress, Islandwalk, Wilshire Lakes, Aviano, Autumn Woods. There are many more but until you provide specific price range, etc. will encourage you to look at these. You can find them on my website. http://www.sellnapleshomes.com.

Please let me know how I can assist you with your search!

Sincerely,

Bea,

The Naples area has numerous communuties in A-rated school zones with 3BR/2BA homes. Before I send you to dozens of communities, it would help if I knew some specifics such as price range, square footage, age of home, amenities (golf, tennis, clubhouse), important features, private pool, size of garage, etc. If you send me a quick email at WOWnaples@comcast.net with answers to the above items, I will conduct an extensive search for you today -- even during the Super Bowl. :-)
