are you allowed to buy a lot and live in a camper?? This was allowed 20 years ago in nw fla but not now.

It depends on where you want to purchase. Counties, and Cities have specific zoning. Also, neighborhoods have restrictions that limit the kind of homes that people can live in. I understand your frustration, but ultimately these covenants are there to protect property values.

Are you planning to stay in New Mexico? There's a great neighborhood about 20 minutes from Raleigh that has camping/camper lots on a lake. The neighborhood has pool, tennis, recreational activities, and is gated. You can also buy the lot with a camper already in place. Here's the community's site: http://lrpoa.com/

I wouldn't be surprised if there are similar neighborhoods in your area. I'd recommend contacting a buyers agent to find out where. It doesn't cost you anything to use an agent, and this way, you'll have someone looking out for your interests!
