My office is located just a few blocks from the University and besides the properties listed in the MLS, I also have some information about a condo which is about to go on the market just 2 blocks from the campus. There are some students who have been living in it and are ready to move on. Let me know if you would like to hear more about it...and best of luck!

You may also want to consider adjoining cities in case Berkeley becomes cost-prohibiive. The transportation system is quite good (buses allow bikes to be transported in bike racks attached to the front of the bus), BART is another.
Berkeley hasn't experienced the drastic price reductions as other cities, and from time to time, there will be competitive bids on properties that are priced aggressively.
We can certainly provide you with information about what's available in Berkeley based on your criteria, and also give you options on other properties like Albany, Oakland, etc that are close enough to Berkeley.
How may I help?
I specialize in representing buyers and sellers in that area. Feel free to contact me with specifics, such as, price, number bedrooms, square footage, etc... and I'd be happy to assist you.
