Home Buying in San Ramon>Question Details

TightBuyer, Home Buyer in Fremont, CA

Do you want my business as a buying agent in San Ramon?

Asked by TightBuyer, Fremont, CA Tue Feb 3, 2009

I have worked with a couple of agents and all they seem to do is just show me a house I have found either listed on their website or on zillow or cyberhomes. I guess the next thing would be they would do the paperwork if I like the house. In short I have a very low opinion of real estate agents at this point. If you think you can change my opinion about your community and you think you can get a commission from an educated but suspicious buyer send an email detailing
How you are different from all the other agents in the market?
What services you can provide me both online and offline?
Detail your flexibility, your eagerness to find me a house.
Send details of how many mortgage brokers do you work with?
Send details of how many home inspectors do you work with?
How many deals have you finalized in the last 3 months?
What did you do before you became a realtor?
How many years have you been in the real estate business?
Have you seen a real estate downturn before?

If your looking for a Realtor you can Trust, and can get the job done right, you need a Broker with Experience, and who has passed the test of time. I have been a Real Estate Broker in Contra Costa County, for the past 33 years, and I have seen just about every kind of market out there. I own Old west Realty Inc., and 90% of my business is from referrals. It's hard to appreciate how hard it is to survive 33 years Full Time in the Real Estate Industry, unless you have been in the business.

The only way we will know if I am the right Realtor for the job, is for you to contact me, and you be the judge for yourself.

Have a Great Day TightBuyer, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Tight Buyer,

There are SEVERAL wonderful Realtors here on Trulia that I am SURE wuld love to email you and take a shot at your business, however, you did not provide an email address, nor is there one under your user profile. If you could, please post it here so you can be contacted. A mortgage broker such as myself would love to take a shot at it as well.

I am a mortgage broker. If I can be of service, please let me know!

Hi Tight Buyer,
Wow, you put the carrot out there and now we are biting. I will respond to your questions offline. Please either email me with an email address or give me a call to set up a meeting, face to face. Home buying like any important event and investment is dependent on chemistry and trust. You can only determine these in person.

Hello TightBuyer:

I get the feeling that you think agents do little to earn their commission. Sure, many years ago, it was about showing you what was on the market in your price range. Times have changed with the Internet. You have access to much (although not all) of the information that agents have.

The value in an agent includes local knowledge and ability to get you the home you want at the best price. Anybody can search for homes on the MLS. I live in San Ramon and 90% of my business is here. I understand the subtle differences between the various neighborhoods. The MLS won't tell you that.

If you really want to know why you should work with me, I am not the person you should be asking. You should be talking to buyers I have represented in recent transactions in San Ramon. That way you get truly unbiased response and no hype.

Chack out my web site at http://www.JustSanRamonHomes.com and/or let me have your email address. I'll put you in touch with the last 3 buyers I have helped in San Ramon and you can decide for yourself if you want to meet with me and discuss things further.

All The Best

I'm sorry the agents you've worked with have not met your expectations, and I'd like to try. I'm not the Realtor for everyone, but when we meet and talk for a half-hour I can decide if you're someone I think I could effectively work with and you can decide whether I'm the kind of Realtor you want to work with.

This is my fifth year in the business, and I know San Ramon fairly well. Before this, I had a small marketing consulting business in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in customer service. That experience serves me well in this business. Windermere prides ourselves on our use of technology to let Realtors do what they do best, and computers do what they do best. Check out http://www.6282Zulmida.com, a listing of mine in Newark.

I'm eager to find you a house because this is an excellent time to buy. Both home prices and mortgage rates are at historic lows. Mr greatest satisfaction in this business is seeing some get in to the "right" home for them.

Finally, I work with three mortgage brokers and at least three home inspectors. I must admit that's a bit of a strange question, because I want to recommend the best of each to my clients, not a long list.

I hope this tells you about me. When's a good time for us to get together?

I'm not interested in extolling the virtues of working with me in this format nor should any other Realtors: it is against the rules of this venue, it would be highly non-productive at best and banal and insulting at worst.

You, like myself, are keenly aware that every industry has marginal players who don't want to put in the effort to rise to the top of their profession as it relates to customer service. You also know that every industry has superstars who have risen through the ranks because of unparalleled customer service and the ability to meet their client’s needs.

So, if you are interested in finding out how top-notch professionals work, go ahead and contact me. I can supply answers to your questions directly.

Good luck in your search.
