You are asking about open enrollment in MPS. The link for that is listed below. Public School Open Enrollment is a statewide program that allows students to attend public schools in districts other than their own if seats are available. No transportation is provided unless the child has an Individualized Education Program (IEP) that specifies that transportation must be provided. You begin the process by contacting the school district in which you are interested. The application process takes place in February. For more information, call (414) 475-8353.
As others indicated, you can contact the district police for a neighborhood crime report. You may also want to check the sex offender registry - that web site is http://www.widocoffenders.org.
I don't believe that you can send your children to Wauwatosa schools without being a resident. I personally have the same problem, am close to Tosa, but not in the municipality. Below is the link for enrolling your children and their requirements.
In addition. Crime statistics are available on MPD's website by your district. I believe that 104th & Hampton is District 4. Below is the link for that.
Lastly....if you want to check out recent sold homes in the area you can search on the top of my website, for "Recent Home Sales."
Any questions, please let me know. I hope some of this information was helpful!
Here is a link to some information regarding the schools in the Wauwatosa area. I've also included a link to the City of Wauwatosa for you to gather some more information about the area. Hopefully this information will be helpful to you!
