Eric, Home Buyer in Enfield, CT

Is the Primrose at Whitney Crossing in Vernon, CT worth $239900? Should I just look for a SF house instead?

Asked by Eric, Enfield, CT Wed Feb 11, 2009

We are first time home buyers, and my wife and I are looking at a Detached Condo at Whitney Crossing in Vernon, CT. It is being built now and has 3BR, 1 Car Garage. 1264 SQ.FT. Central air. The price is $239900. The fees are $110 a month. Do you think it is a good deal? I'm just wondering if I should look for a normal single family house instead. This is the website: http://www.whitneycrossing.com/

Thank you

Hello,

My boyfriend and I just moved into our primrose, which we absolutely love! It is definetly a good deal if you are not looking for a huge yard. That is why the price is so low - considering the home is BRAND NEW. It has great windows, heating and cooling system, hard wood floors, etc. We couldn't be happier with our decision. Also, the building quality is amazing; we couldn't find one thing wrong with the entire place! And if there is a problem all you do is call the builder and they will have it fixed for you in a few days.

I know of the primrose going in up the street (not sure how far along it is inside) but we were able to pick EVERYTHING. Counters. paint colors, carpet, knobs, flooring... You really cannot have a house built in this area for so cheap and such high quality!

If you are not looking for a house that needs a lot of work and is 30+ years old in this area, you wouldn't go wrong with a Primrose! Also, if you are interested and decide to come back have Nell (the real estate agent) give us a call and if we are home we would be more than willing so show you the house fully furnished!
