What types of homes do best during market downturns like this? Condo's or townhomes?

Or does other factors such as neighborhood play more into this question?

Hello...I would think that would depend on your location. I am now a realtor working on the Georgia coast. My location is Saint Simons Island GA. Since we are a destination for vacationers then I would encourage you to consider both.Owning a condo or a townhome is a good investment if you are planning to rent it when you are not using it.What area are you interested?? email me at: coastalgahomes@gmail.com Thanks Anna Marie

My opinion is that it would be more of a price range not Townhome, Condo, Duplex, Single Fam. etc

If the market is rough, there may be so much inventory that you have to sell for less just to move the property.
In my local market if something is between $190K and $210K it sells relativley fast compared to a home listed at $250 to $350, regardless of what type of residence it is.
