As a buyer, I highly recommend using an agent to represent you in the purchase transaction. The commission to all agents in a transaction is paid through the seller's proceeds. Signing with a real estate agent to represent you on the buy side of a transaction is a win-win for you - you will not pay the commission but benefit from being 100% fully represented.

If you are looking for area FSBO homes, we advertise several on our website at http://www.katiekteam.com.

Feel free to call or email me with any questions.

Christie,

Times have changed..............

Several years ago buyers were looking a FSBO properties because this is where they felt the coulf find the best value when purchasing property.

Today's real estate values are commomly viewed in the "short sale" and "foreclosure" markets.

Our recommendation is to contact a real estate professional for properties in your location that may be of interest to you.

Good luck

Hey Christie, My question to you is WHY would you want to buy a "for sale by owner (FSBO)"? They are ALWAYS, always, always priced too high! I think that's the main reason FSBO's don't use a realtor. A realtor should give the owner an honest opinion of their house's value and the seller does not like what the realtor tells them. Seller wants more money, so they list it themselves. More than 80% of FSBO's end up listing with a realtor to sell their house. The other huge problem you are creating by going for FSBO's is that YOU, as the buyer, have no representation in the purchase of a house. Also, a realtor can make your search for the right home VERY easy for you.

If you are really asking for a "owner financing" situation, that is a totally different situation. Those houses are typically listed with realtors and, as a realtor, I can easily search for all houses where the owner will "owner finance". Please let me know if you have more questions OR if I can help you find your home. I'm a native Houstonian and know the entire city very well.
