Hi Gina,

Very good question. The answer is that the whole city is still feeling it - but sometimes in a positive way! There are some new incentives for buyers who chose Cedar Rapids as a place to live over other cities. Cedar Rapids has so many diverse neighborhoods, it would be very hard to say that this one was affected, but this one wasn't in general terms. There are quite a few homes in the style that you describe, and I would say that less of this style would have been victims of the flood themselves. A lot of the bungalow style homes are in sections of Cedar Rapids that were not under water!

Feel free to email me at michellesproul@hotmail.com or give me a call at 319-533-2993 and I would be glad to email you some listings that might interest you, if you are not already working with another agent. If you are working with an agent, please have them do this for you. This way you can scroll through the listings in your price range and decide which of them to look at in person!
