Can you advertise your property listings on Craigslist for more than 7 days?

Asked by Sean Taylor, 95472 Mon Nov 5, 2007

I have been using craigslist for some time to advertise property listings but the automatic listings only post for 7 days. Is there a way to post a property listing for more than 7 days? Is there a pay for placement option that will keep the listing posted for an entire month or more?

It is actually very easy to repost the listing after it expires....it can be done with about 3 clicks. Make sure you set up an accopunt, sign in, go to your listings page, and your expired are in purple.

Not at this time. You have to repost your ads every 7 days.

Hi Sean. How frequently you have to repost depends on the location. The more popular locations have a 7-day limit and it is easy to repost. I know backpage.com allows you to pay to refresh your listings every three days. Maybe craigslist will follow suite down the road.

You get kicked to the bottom of the list after 24 hours. You have to use a strategy that updates with a new ad and deletes the old ad on a regular basis.

My Craig's List listings stay on for 45 days. However I always repost them every seven days to keep them fresh. After that you're so far down the list no one seems to notice them.
