Evelyn Word, Home Buyer in 89032

My question is regarding qualifying. This would be for my brother.

Asked by Evelyn Word, 89032 Tue Apr 28, 2009

My brother gets $3,300 from Social Security and the VA. He is a disabled veteran. He has never owned a house and is 67 years old. He has very little credit history because he lived in Thailand for several years. Would he even qualify for a loan? How much down is required? What are the association dues on this? Has the SID been paid off? Any more pictures available?

I am his sister and live in Montana. He currently lives in North Las Vegas in a rental.

Thank you, Evelyn Word

Your brother would need to actually speak with a mortgage person to see if he prequalifies. How much you need to put down would depend on the type of loan. If he can use VA then nothing or for FHA loan it would be 3.5% of the purchase price. This property is curently showing Contingent, which means an offer has been sent in and it may go through. The Masterplan fee is $180 and the HOA fee is $39 so it would be a total of $219 a month. And yes it is showing is also has a SID that is not paid off. I have lived here in Vegas for 22 years so please contact me if you need anymore help. Thanks
