Jon,

Obviously you do not want to contact a realtor for whatever reasons. Contact the local tax collectors office and ask for the sales statistics for the neighborhood for the previous 6 to 12 months.

Best of luck!

Public records will show what homes have sold for or your local realtor can do it for you.

Dear Home/Property Buyer, that is the beauty of working with a "Buyers' Agent" who by the way, works for you for free. Let a REALTOR who lives in and knows the area of interest provide you with up to date sales information and much more. Remember, the seller pays the commission in the end.

The way to get sold information on homes LISTed in your area is with the local MLS (TAAR).
The sold information is not on the website but can be obtained through a real estate agent.
This information is accurate and up to date. Zillow doesn't have enough information in this area.
Information could be obtained through your local township or possibly equalization dept.

As a Traverse City agent, we usually pull the sales that are reported through the MLS. It's a service we provide for free. It helps us get better educated about that distinct neighborhood. If you decide to list your home and will consider us for the listing agent position that of course is a bonus.

A local Realtor can do a market evaluation for you, you could also try cyberhomes.

Your best bet is to call a Realtor and ask for a CMA.
