Yes, that is correct. Check with the GA bar. When I moved from CA to IL, I still had to take the full IL Bar since I hadn't practiced for very long. In CA, attorneys from other states don't have to take the multi-state portion.
Hi Lgbrooks. You have to contact the Georgia Bar Assocation and ask them about that. Most likely they have an attorney bar that you have to take. I know that in CA, attorneys from other states have to take the attorney bar, which is a 2-day test instead of the 3-day test and the attorney must also have practice for the past 5 years to qualify for the attorney bar.
