Here is the link directly to the Virginia Beach School System for contruction/modernization.
http://www.vbschools.com/school_renovation/schools/index.asp

On the left they have a list of links for completed and future renovations/modernization.
Hope that helps!

Since we do not yet live in the area, I am not able to go to the board meetings. I guess my question boils down to this: Do the taxpayers vote for school-related bonds? or against? Having a good school system is usually a source of pride and keeps property values high, but when we toured neighborhoods, I was shocked at the quality of the physical plants of the schools. The schools I'm referring to are: Dey, First Colonial, Trantwood, Kings Grant. We saw Cox first and thought it looked like a prison, but after we saw the others, we realized it was the best one of the bunch! Any local knowledge about upgrade plans would be appreciated.

This is a great question....and we all know that schools are important when it comes to real estate.I tried to find a blog for you that was ealing with this issue as a resource, and unfortunately I could find none. Do you go to the board meetings?
