Never Trust A…, Other/Just Looking in Las Vegas, NV

Is the seller or the buyer responsible for paying off seller's debts (i.e. liens, city fines, etc.)?

Asked by Never Trust A Landlord, Las Vegas, NV Tue Apr 7, 2009

The seller of the house has been fined by the city and the health department for having mosquito larvae with West Nile in her swimming pool. It's a matter of public record. Check for liens before you commit to buy!

Thank you for the heads up. These REO's can be a very big mess sometimes. Nobody want's that kind of health issue in Las Vegas or anywhere. Sellers are responsible if it's bank owned. Sellers are always responsible for these types of issues. If the health dept. is involved that's wonderful. Penny
