Offering a rebate to purchasers of real estate is perfectly legal in California. I'd be happy to give you information about the program if you are interested. Myself, Redfin and Zip Realty have been doing this for years with hundreds of satisfied customers receiving millions of dollars in rebates. Go to our websites and read the testimonials from clients.

Whoever you choose make sure to avoid agents who tell you rebates are illegal. In addition to being woefully uninformed, they obviously don't have your best interests at heart by steering you away from a legitimate business model that would save you thousands of dollars while providing you with great service.

The reply you received offering you a "rebate" is not legal. Of course, as a afterthought, he did offer you "good service". My advice is to http://www.DIALdani.com - honest and hardworking representation is what you need. Energy and Efficiency. Not a bunch of sales jargon and maybe "pay you" promises. Beware. If you are getting a loan and the lender is unaware of monies rebated to the buyer, this is fraud to the lender. This is the kind of practices that got this market into where it is now. Hi Copper,

We help our clients by rebating up to two percent of the purchace price back to you from our commission. On a $200,000 house you will get back between $2,000 and $3,000 as a credit against your closing costs or as cash back after close of escrow. I'll do a good job for you too.
