I want to introduce you to another great town to live in-Cranbury, NJ. It has convenient public transportation to NYC - It's 10-15 minutes to Princeton Junction train station and there is also very good bus service from the Park and Ride on Route 130 that's located only 5 minutes from the center of town. In addition, there is excellent access to the NJ Turnpike, exit 8A.
There isn't a lot of new construction in Cranbury but there are some new-ish homes that you might consider. It depends on your price range. Also, if schools are a consideration, Cranbury has one of the best in the area.

Generally speaking, the more north you go , so does the price range & this difference is pretty obvious for newer homes.
There is no new construction in our area..........I've been selling real estate here for about 7 years .
The Princeton junction estates community is the newest in terms of being close to the train station.
That too is about 2-4 years old for single family & townhomes in the $500K+ range.
The train station parking area in Princeton Junction is under redevelopment & since parking is not assigned, you can get a spot depending on when you get there.
The later you do the more you'll have to walk to the train station , in terms of parking space.
The same is true for Hamilton, which also has a parking deck.......and this too can fill up quickly.
There are shuttles to the train station in West WIndsor /Princeton Junction & Plainsboro, depending on the community......there are commuter shuttle buses from different locations.
For specifics on communities or availability, please email directly.
There are also one-offs here and there in these two communities and others that would fit your location criteria.
Let me hear from you Neha, send along your email address and I'll send you further details.

Otherwise, Hamilton Township might be another option. It has a fairly new train station, plenty of new construction in the area, and is another hot spot for NYC commuters. Plus you'll find the homes and taxes might be a little cheaper.
