Short Sale listing agents, I need feedback on how we might persuade our MLS BODs to allow short sale listings

to remain "Active" until Lender(s) issue the Letter of Acceptance. We all know how critical getting back-up offers is, and we all know how tought that is when exposure disappears as we are forced to "Pend, Continue to Show."

I understand what you're saying, but buyers need to be informed and aware of short sale properties that already have a contract. I'm afraid I wouldn't be in your corner on this one. Besides, that, how many buyers are willing to accept a back-up position on a short sale?

have you thought about submitting your offers to the bank without seller signature? technically, they are not pending and the listing should be able to remain active. in my experience, the banks don't care about the signature until the very end.
