Where do I find detailed mortgage rates history.?

Asked by Ruthless, 60558 Mon Sep 17, 2007

I don't want to compare current rates, i.e. what rate can I get in my state now. I want to see the month to month for national rates for over the past decades.

Check out this site. I've answered the question before, then I found this one site that is very good:

go to http://www.HSH.com If you search on that site, it gives some history of interest rates. A good source of info, no registration, etc.

The best detailed history I have found was written by Robert J. Shiller, a Yale Economist. It details both mortgage and real estate "bust and boom" cycles since 1950.

It is kind of dry reading at first but is a read for Real Estate Pro's as well as buyers and sellers.

It is a 41 page paper and is an absolute eye-opener.

It is too long to post here and it is in .pdf format.

Can any real estate pro's or Trulia tell me how to make this file available on Trulia without directing someone to email me for a copy of the paper or directing someone to my website to get it?
