Ian, That is a million dollar question. It would take a commitment from the business world. I have dealt with buyers in Baton Rouge area that have moved back to N.O. only to find it is not what it used to be and have decided to return to the Baton Rouge area. Their big complaint, there is nothing to do! Please share with us the positive points about living in New Orleans. I think it is a great city and would love to see it thrive once again. My husband is a business mgr in the New Orleans area!

What would it take to move to New Orleans?? LOL

A new mayor,
a new city council,
off of the top 5 murder capitals of the world!
A different population that that EXPECTS a hand out paid by responsible citizens who get up every day and go to work!

When the Saints go to San Antonio!

New Orleans is / was a lovely area to visit. I am a California girl and couldn't even phantom moving there. Mostly due to the climate.

I love where I live in Delaware, but if I were going to move I would consider New Orleans. Unfortunately, the press is so negative and until the news can show that your city is rebuilt and the crime is under control (this is the image we get on the east coast), it is going to be a task. It would be great if the city would offer incentives to draw people back to the city. Philadelphia has given new condo owners tax exemptions for a number of years. Can New Orleans afford to do that?
