Trulia Real Estate Guide - Currently by City. How About by County Also?

Asked by Sylvia Barry, MAS, CIPS, SRES, Novato, CA Fri Sep 7, 2007

Currently, Trulia Real Estate Guide is by City Only - see example of California Real Estate Guide - - Only San Francisco and Oakland are listed. However, in S.F. Bay Area, we have quite a few major counties and cities - Marin, Sonoma (cities other than Santa Rosa), Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, etc, - All major suburbs of San Francisco - These are places where a lot of homeowners are looking. Being a consumer oriented site, incluidng real estate guides for those counties and the major cities in those counties will be extremely important. Will this be feasible in the near future?

Go Sylvia.....

Buyers struggle with knowing the nearby towns. Searching for both guide info and property lisitngs by county would be helpful for the consumers. Even when a consumer knows specifically which town they have interest, they often still have questions about the surrounding areas. For that reason, guides and resources are important. Buyers may like a neighborhood, zip code, or town, but want a feel for the surrounding towns, stability, average pricing, etc.

Hello Emily:

Just wondering about the progress on this. Any idea whether this made a list to the product development team? My suspicion is with this enhancement, you might get a lot more people to go on Trulia. After all, most of us don't live in major cities - we live in the suburbs.
