I have seen the rates at about 5.5 this week as well. The main advantage to the VA is the lower down payment requirements. If you are unrepresented in your purchase or would like help looking at any other properties in your area please consider my services. I rebate 20% of the commission i make off the sale.

Thanks for your time

About 5.5% or so right now. You might be able to get 5% or so Monday.... end of month trading of Mortgage Backed Securities drove rates up a wee bit.
They were solid 5% a few days ago.... I closed one last month at 5%.
very choppy rates right now.
If you get competing offers.... make sure you get those offers on the same day!!

Good luck with your deal!!
