I am licensed as Broker and I am also a GRI. My clients appreciate this and the additional education has contributed not only dollar wise but it has also has given me increased knowledge, confidence and self-esteem.

I found having the GRI after my name has made my peers and my clients realize I am serious about knowing every facet of my business. It holds me apart as there are many brokers and sales people, but not that many that have taken the time to be a broker and then the extra time and effort to become a Graduate of the Realtor Institute. Its like going to a specialist instead of just a general doctor.

As a CA broker and GRI, I would like to tell you some what i heard and what i see.
Broker license and GRI may bring more creditability to you but that happened when consumer must have the knowledge whaat broker and GRI mean. When you start touching your clients, if your appearance makes your client disapointed even you are but that is still useless.

There are less painful and costly credentials to add to your business card that will gain you similar respect. Most buyer's don't know what GRI means. Sure, they know it means something. But they also know what Million dollar club means, or Epro or Top Listing Agent, etc... Even a simple branded quote instead of a credential helps to earn integrity. Just be yourself and do what you do best. The GRI won't help you gain or lose a sale. That's my bold opinion.
