There's a house for sale down the street from me...

Asked by Klea Prim, San Jose, CA Thu Aug 23, 2007

Okay, so there's a house for sale down the street from me right on the corner of Paula St & Northrup, but I can't find it anywhere on this website. Are the homes that are only listed on here only partnered with Trulia? I did find it on the MLSListing site........

Klea,
Trulia is a is not that old. That being said, there are a lot of brokerages that don't have a direct feed to Trulia yet, there may even be some boards that aren't compatible. In this case the agent would have to enter the listing manually. I know that in my area, there are a lot of agents that don't know what Trulia is. Our listings, from my office, are on an automatic feed in. When I talk about Trulia, agents in my office look confused and dazed. It makes me believe there is still alot of growing for Trulia to do!

Not all homes that are for sale are on Trulia. Many real estate websites syndicate the listings to different search engines. For instance Point2Agent gives agents the option to syndicate listings to a ton of search engines. The more search engines show the listings, the better the chances are to sell the listing. Syndication is not instantanious. It can take a while before a new listing shows on the search engines. I hope that answers your question.

If you want all listings in your area search mlslistings.com. This is the local Broker MLS and has all listings that any Realtor would be able to search for you. If you would like to recieve listings that pop up in your area automatically sign up using the link below. I also have an exclusive REO/Short Sale sheet that I can put you on as well.

Not all brokerages have a direct feed to Trulia and the listing may need to be manually imputed. Recenty our brokerage just went to the direct feed and it makes it much easier. The listing can also be syncidated from several sites like vflyer and poing2agent.
