Has anyone read "The SEO Book" by Aaron Wall?

Asked by TED SHOOP, Buford, GA Mon Aug 13, 2007

I am currently reading "SEO for Dummies" by Peter Kent (no snickers or jokes, please...); however, so far have found it to be top level or very generic. Looking for the latest tips & tricks in the art of organic SEO. Any feedback, suggestions or book recommendations are welcomed.

Hi, I'm inviting you to an online group at ActiveRain that discusses this topic every day. You'll learn a lot!
There is more stuff evolving faster than can be published in a book. For example, Google changes their parameters constantly.

Hi Ted,
Despite what you might hear, nobody really knows how SEO works, but there are common techniques that usually work reasonably well. A good place to hang out is Search Engine Watch. They have a blog and active discussion forums there.

I've read SEO book by Aaron Wall and I highly reccommend it.

Not only that, you should subscribe to his website and participate in his discussion. He's really friendly, and will answer your questions too.

Just as internet security companies monitor for new variants of spyware, adware, worms and viruses, search companies monitor the web and retrain their spiders or crawlers to avoid automated "tricks" that websites use to artificially boost their ranking. Just one more cat and mouse game for techies. SEO = search Engine Optimization.

I have read parts of Aaron Wall's SEO Book and I find it really great especially for newbies in Search Engine Optimization. Their online training program is also a comprehensive guide in learning the basics of SEO, for whatever purpose you need. May it be for optimizing your personal blog or improving the rankings of your business website. I also like the SEO glossary, where I learn some commonly used jargons in the Internet marketing business. Whether you're thinking of availing of Internet marketing services or doing organic SEO on your own, you're sure to learn a thing or two from the SEO book.
