I can't speak for the owners or the agent who is representing the owners but according to the MLS that property is vacant and I also checked the public records and see it is in foreclosure (that is not "confidential" information).
My suggestion is that you be very careful when considering a rental. If you move in there's always a chance you could be forced to move out suddenly and be faced with unexpected moving costs. If you can rent through a property manager, please ask them to verify if the mortgage is current (if there is a mortgage). If you rent through a private owner, you still would want to make sure they are making the payments. Unfortunately in this market there are many homes on the brink of foreclosure so make sure you ask questions as protect yourself as best you can.
Please let me know if I can be of service to you.
