Want to know more about the town of Holbrook, MA?

Asked by Becky, 02169 Fri Jul 13, 2007

My husband and I found a home in Holbrook, MA on the Braintree line. I grew up on the south shore, but never heard much about Holbrook. Just wondering what the town is like - pros/cons. We have a 17 mo. old daughter so we will definitely be living there for nursery school/elementary and wanted to know more about the schools. What kid-friendly/family-friendly things there are to do in the town?

You might also want to check into the following if you move there: SOUTH SHORE ACTIVE MOMS AND DADS GROUP in Holbrook.

This is a group for couples that have become new parents that want to continue to maintain a balance of being a couple and being parents. While we know that playgroups are important for kids(we do host them) this group focuses on the importance of "Parent Fun". It makes us better people, a better spouse, and a better parent to remember to make time to enjoy ourselves while still making sure the kids are having fun too. We want to bike, hike, fish, get in shape, play games, and do anything else we can think of that would be fun to do - with our significant other - and with the kids! We are a group of active parents who want to have fun!

Good luck and let us know if you have any other questions. My best, John Allaire
