I am not an agent. I live in the area. There are car breakins and some burglarlies in weekly crime reports and my neighbors have been victims of this but I haven't seen any other crimes in my neighborhood since I've lived in since 2005. Really this kind of crime happens all over the DC area a lot including Loudoun County where I work. I recommend buying a home with a car garage and you won't have to worry about your car. I recommend visiting the street a lot and talkign to neighbors. I like that my street has a lot of retired folks and a stay at home mom which keep an eye on things. I recommend the part of Ft. Washington on the side of rt 210 closer to the river versus Ft. Washington on the other side of 20 bordering Temple Hills etc. I own a home on the border of Oxon Hill and Ft. Washington currently and when I plan to upgrade it would be on the side I recommend. I love my community despite the negative perceptions of the county in general. I have a decent reverse commute to NoVA jobs going in the opposite direction of most of the traffic (50 minutes) and my husband has a great commute to downtown DC.

You need to to see the data provided by :Prince George's County Police Department Neighborhood Crime Statistics. It is on line at: Page 1 of the site says:The Prince George's Police Department is pleased to make an interactive mapping website available to the citizens of Prince George's County. The purpose of this website is to allow citizens to locate an address, zoom into a 1/2 mile radius of the area and look at specific major call types in their neighborhood.

I would love for you to visit my www site also. I do have a link to the PG County portal. However, since service is the name of the game; allow me to make it quicker for you. I answer this question often for all the counties I serve; which includes PG.
