Remember, wherever you buy YOU need to be HAPPY WITH YOUR CHOICE.
I do have to say that I don't know the New Rochelle area so I cannot advise you specifically for this area. I will say that I have investors who buy in Trenton All the time. They buy cheep, fix up and sell quickly because rents are as high and sometimes higher than a remodelled row house. So it is a Win-Win for both sided.
When people in any community have ownership the areas change eventually. I hope this helps some.
