There are a huge (relatively) percentage of homes in the Hunting Ridge area (21229) for sale. Why?

Asked by Jason A. Cross, Riverton, WY Fri Feb 13, 2009

I know that sometimes neighborhoods turn over, but this seems more like an exodus. Is there an externality behind this? I mean there are like 5 or 6 houses on the same street within 2 blocks of one another up for sale.

Jason,

Jon Tucker with RE/MAX 100. Zip 21229 has been an area that has had aggressive rehabs and renovations over the last 3-5 years. Many buyers were proto-typical subprime, teaser arm, or option arm type financing. There are lots of shorts, pre-foreclosure and REO sales. 21229 is city and has had slow sales vs. the neighboring county 21228. I hope this helps. Good luck.
