I tell my broker when I suspect mortgage fraud. He has reported it. A local title agency is working closely with the FBI, and I know other agents have called them when they suspect fraud.

Isn't it amazing at how much of it is going on? Small towns and large, it is everywhere! Thanks for the answer. Hopefully the FBI has enough manpower to cover the growing problem.

Linda.. this is a great question and one we all need to be on top of.. mortgage fraud is serious business.. the FBI did a long investigation on silent seconds in the South Bay and people went to jail as well as losing their license..

each state has an office that regulates this. If you suspect it you can go and report it directly.
