Manhattan Beach in general is a very sought after area due to it's proximity to the beach, the beautiful weather, award winning schools and it's slightly shorter commute to LA than other South Bay areas. The city is broken into several "sections" with each having it's own appeal. The "tree section" is actually called this due to the names of the streets and not the abundance of foliage and rural feel, but it's appeal is due to several factors. The area is west of Sepulveda, a short distance to the beach, has a quiet and safe feeling to it, and it's possible to get a relatively large home do to a variety of lot sizes. Streets are generally narrow without much traffic and there is a nice mix of original homes as well as some of the newer, larger homes. Simply put, it's a great area to live and enjoy a real neighborhood feel just a short bike ride away from the beach.
