There are several new developments near downtown Mountain View. This is not a common occurance so if new is what you llike it is a great time to buy as the builders have excellent incentive programs at this time. Also, the new stimulous package, as it stands right now, takes the conforming loan limit back to $729,500, up from the $625,000 it dropped to in Dec. This will definately help the under million dollar market. Hopefully this will happen in late Feb. or early March.
