It is against Federal law for an agent to steer you toward or away from any neighborhood. I can tell you that I have sold all over the Las Vegas area and what a person decides is a good neighborhood is pretty subjective anyway. Each buyer has a different criteria for determining. If you go to my website http://www.MarilynOrcutt.com, under 'about the area' are links that will give you good information. For instance their is a link for Crimeview which contains all the links for Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson. You'll be surprised when you check some areas that friends may have said "Oh, you don't want to live there" that the particular area you are looking at may be very low on crime. This is often the criteria people use. Other people choose a particular area because of schools or the proximity to where they work. Though I am very careful not to suggest any particular area for a buyer, they can soon tell by driving around an area if it meets their needs. I'd be happy to help you in your search, however, for crime I must direct you to links that give that information to help you in making a decision. Good luck!

The best source for community safety issues is the local police department or county sheriff's department. They have access to the most current and accurate information and are generally very willing to be helpful.
Check out the crime view website at the following link. This site should give you a good idea of what's going on in different neighborhoods. When you get to the "where" tab, select "within a boundary", choose zip code, and select the zip you want. I noticed lot's of crime reports especially near Boulder hwy. (surprise! lol)
You can also get some basic community info by zip code at my website at:
