I used to live in Carmel Valley. The commute in and out of 92130 is very easy thanks to route 56. It relieves a lot of the northern congestion on the evening rush hour traffic. The mornings are generally not too bad. Leave around or before 6:30 A.M. and you'll be fine.

Hi Jody, off peak it is smooth like butter. Peak it is still pretty good, because its close to I5. If your going South from there, you are golden up until Mirimar, which can be slow in morning and late afternoon. Going North you are pretty much off peak, except in the evening commute, especially on Fridays. If you were coming from furhter East than this location, near I15, it can be a drag, but proximity to all good things coastal is one of the benefits to this area.

FYI, I noticed the orignial listing reflecting $758,900 has been cancelled, and that there is a new listing for the same property showing a price range of $706,775 - $746,876.

Meantime, if you would find it helpful, many of my clients realize a lot of value in the personalized search pages I create for them. Feel free to request one.

In the Del Mar area highway traffic is always conjested, but it does move at about 40 MPH when its not rush hour.. It is especially bad northbound from 3-6 PM.
Southbound in the morning 6-11AM is really slow. It will take you 45 minutes to travel 20 miles either direction these times of day. If you avoid these times you can cut that time in half.
