This particular property on Third St. is a single family home. I grew up one block from this home. As for determining if it is a singe-family condo or townhouse, look for a unit number or letter in the address. This will help minimize your searching time & narrow your results. Also, be aware there are suttle differences between buildings classified as condos and those classified as townhomes. Feel free to call or email anytime with questions or concerns. We call them a single family home because you are only purchasing one, and only one family can live in it. In our mls, multi family homes are duplexes, triplexes, etc... If you buy more than one housing unit in one structure, then it becomes multi famliy. I hope that makes sense, and I can definitely see how it could be confusing. If you need any help with your search, I would be more than happy to assist you. I can be reached by email at egora@intracoastalrealty.com. Good luck! It's a GREAT time to buy!!

It might be as simple as a typo in the MLS or CENTURY 21's system; But you're absolutely right, agents must take great care when they list properties to categorize them appropriately. Doing so saves everyone a lot of time. If you have a buyer's agent representing you, you might bring this up with him or her so that they can get in touch with the listing office. Like I say, it might be a typo, it also might be an attempt to get more exposure, only the listing agent knows for sure. Either way, it should be corrected.
