Why is the housing in Southside Toledo so low priced? What is the area like?

Hi Peter,

Susan was right on when saying that prices really vary depending on the part of town that you're in, even within the south end of town. I see that you are from Louisiana, does that mean you're looking to move here, invest in some properties, or have something else in mind? If you are looking to invest, the Toledo area is one of the most affordable areas of the country to buy, and local & outside investors have been buying up properties because of the great market right now. Feel free to let me know if you have more questions about our great town or any properties that you come across.

South Toledo's prices vary greatly depending on what part you are in. I was born and raised in the "Old South End". That area does have issues with vacant houses, schools that aren't appreciated, and many renters. My mother still lives there and wouldn't have it any other way. There are some great buys in parts of the "Old South End" and areas that are nicer than others. I myself live in South Toledo in an area near Maumee. It is a very desirable area and I love it. I hope this answers your question. If you have any other questions you can contact me directly through my website Have a safe and happy new year!
